1.   ARTERY FORCEPS USES AND PARTS ( SPENCER WELL`S ARTERY FORCEPS ) :- 

  • Artery forceps is used to control bleeding. Once the bleeding points are caught , they are coagulated or ligature is applied.
  • There are 3 types of Arteries . 
  • 1. Staight artery 
  • 2. curved artery
  • 3. Mosquito artery 
  • The curved artery is commonly used 
  • Mosquito artery is smaller and used in repair of hairlip, cleft plate or other plastic sugeries 
  • These have a lock system or ratchet
